happy post labor day humpday to all!
Post Labor Day blues in full effect. How are the rest of you holding up over there? Thanks be to Buddha that I have post work plans on this hump day. Looking forward to a little house warming sesh with friends, and wine. Really looking forward to some wine. Always.
How and why Summer is already well on it's way is beyond my understanding, but those are the breaks. If you're approximately 27-30 you know that your Summer turns into a bombarding from every direction of bridal showers, baby showers, engagement parties, bachelorette parties, babies being born, weddings, 30th birthday parties, surprise 30th birthday parties, and so on. Partying is one of my greatest talents, but even I get worn out after back-to-back-to-back-to-back weekends of celebrations. I would really like to sleep in, in my own bed. Also, I would really like to go out to brunch in the city that I live in. Can a girl get some brunch?! how. white. do. i. sound. Mostly I just want to spend time at home around my neighborhood and get into a routine. Routines lead to weight loss, right?
That said, I guess that I do have a little twinge of excitement for Fall. Be it a small one, I can feel it deep down in there - a little tingling in my core like when I think about jumping in a pool. Ya know, I don't want to be cold, and I don't want to get my hair wet, but I know that it will be refreshing once I go fully under and flail around a bit. Sidenote, I happened to go swimming today and was beat effortlessly by a ten year old in a race from the shallow to the deep end - cool. So hopefully Fall doesn't smack us all in the face, maybe it will be a breezey, refreshing experience.
Just to keep all of you pals out there in the loop, things might be sparse and disconnected at the moment over here at So Sue Me, but there is much to look forward to this Fall! I'll be falling (ha, pun) into some free time within my work schedule, and I'm looking forward to dedicating some tender love and care to this bloggy, and to creating a shop for those of you so inclined to bring some of my hand made artwork to your homes. Bear with me as I get this thing worked into a finely tuned machine that you can call home (/your homepage). Until then, let's keep on discussing randoms things that I'm into....
FIRST: a rekindling of my love for country music has been going on... Seeing Jason Aldean at Saratoga Performing Arts Center with my sister has had this song on repeat in my head, enjoy!
Number 2: Superga sneakers. I've been stalking them for way to long, and now I finally have them and I am very happy about it. Simple, comfortable, versatile, reasonably priced, and they come in lots of colors. Check 'em out. http://www.superga-usa.com/Item.aspx?id=89525&np=831_825
Finally: Looking for a new guilty pleasure while all of the real housewives reunions come to a close and you sink into a lack-of-tv depression? Well, "Finding Carter" on MTV is the answer to all of your pathetic needs. Long story short -- A rebellious high school girl comes to find our that her mom is not actually her mom, in fact she is her kidnapper that stole her from her mother and father when she was 3. Her new (old) family comes back into the picture right at the get go and the drama ensues. Occasional poor acting and a forced plot line fade into the distance as you watch the story unfold, and by 'watch the story unfold' I obviously meant to say as your crush on all of the high school boys grows. It's good, I swear. My heart is torn in two between the bad boy Crash, and sweet innocent Max. Let me know which one your pedophile feelings end up favoring ...
