SHOP TIL YOU DROP

With the holidays approaching I thought this would be a great time to start making items available to everyone in the So Sue Me Shop. I've always had a passion for art, and paid a pretty penny for a degree in just that. I'd love to be able to share some of my own work with each of you. For me, art is the most personal gift that you can give. I would love to be the hands that help you do this for someone that you love. Or maybe someone that you don't love, but you just need something thoughtful to give a gift to? Whatever the case may be, I'm at your service.

Where: Check out the tabs at the top of the page... Click SO SUE ME SHOP. Also, to check out some previous work, you can click on the WORK tab.

What: The current "Anchor" piece is available in a variety of sizes and colors. I am happy to manipulate this bold color on contrasting white background concept to suit your needs through different shapes or designs, in order to create a custom piece that would be meaningful and special to you. Some suggested options include, but are not limited to: sailboat, skull, seahorse, feather, banana, bow, deer, elephant, pineapple... whatever floats your boat.

How: Order thru the So Sue Me Shop! OR -- If you are looking for a custom piece, that is not specified in the shop, please email me at sosuememail@gmail.com with the following information - along with anything else that you think would be helpful in creating your vision, and I will get back to you ASAP regarding your one of a kind treasure:

(1)  Name (2)  Brief description of desired piece (3)  Size preference (4)  Color scheme

Why: Because a Visual Art degree from Northeastern University is expensive, and I don't want to have to resort to selling my body to pay off my loans. Just kidding. Because art is personal, and unique, and makes a great conversation piece. Because I would be honored to create something that will hang from the walls of your homes, offices, nurseries, nooks, and crannies that might bring a smile to someones face. Because your living room needs a change, and a new couch isn't in the budget. Because you have an empty space above your bed that is sparse and depressing. Because you want to be a good gift giver. Or, just because.

Who: Your girlfriend, your boyfriend, your husband, your wife, your mom, your dad, your neighbor, your boss, your friend with a baby, your friends without babies, your married friends, your single friends, your uncle, your aunt, your cousin, your nana, the mailman?! Yourself. Everyone loves art.

When: Place your order ASAP to ensure that holiday gifts will be in your hands on time! Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery depending on the intricacy of each piece.

I look forward to letting down my guard and painting for other people. It's intimidating to expose your craft to a crowd, but you guys seem nice enough :) Keep an eye out for more to come to the shop in the future -- hope to see you all there!

busy people don't cry

My sister moved to the other side of the country, WAAAH. My brother left yesterday for deployment in Afghanistan, WAAAAH. I have looming fears of waking up with cancer, WAAH WAAH WAAH. Get it together, Sue. I've been a big ball of emotions lately, not a far cry (ha, pun!)  from my day to day personality, since I tend to cry over most reality shows, and can't get thru the National Anthem of a Bruins game without welling up. [Go B's! Keep that streak alive !!!] I'll admit it though, I have been having a hard time looking at the bright side these days, and I need to snap the F out of it.

We all have our problemos, some smaller than others, but regardless - a shitty day is a shitty day. I'm all about a good cry/red wine combo from time to time, but I'm focussing on putting my energy into a more positive direction, and I encourage you to do the same! Whatever your struggle may be, it's all good, you're still alive, right?

So, what do I recommend you say? Do something you love. Stay busy. Do a puzzle. From what I can see via obsessive googling - the best way to get thru a deployment of a loved one is to stay super busy, and stay focused on their arrival home. As stated previously, my sign at the airport will be BOMB, but until I can get crafting on that, I'll find other things to fill my time with. If you're bumming over something like me, get your head on straight and quit your bitching. Happy people live longer. I just made that up, but it has to be true. I'm going to start painting more. I'm looking forward to getting the SO SUE ME SHOP open so that you can all treat your pals to some swag for the holidays - keep an eye out! Find your hobby and run with it. Or maybe you just need a really good song to brighten your day? Here's one that always puts a smile on my face...

You liked that didn't ya? Just give in to country already peeps, it's good for you.

After three nights of quarantine in my apartment with strep throat, I'm excited to be back out in the world of the living, even if it is a rainy day here in Beantown. I'm feeling not quite 100% but I'm re-energized and have some positive vibes going. Hopefully your week has flown by, and you've got some good stuff lined up for this weekend. I'm heading to Hoboken for a fabulous wedding of two great friends. Excited to reunite with some college besties, and crossing my fingers for ending the night with a shirtless (male) dance party like the good old days. It's almost Friday, guys. You can do it.
